The day has finally come!!! May 7, 2021, I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising. While I will not be pursing this as a full time career, I am thankful for the marketing techniques it has taught me that work hand in hand with being a full time business owner. I am still in a “pinch me” state of mind that I am stepping into a new chapter of my life, one that doesn’t involve homework, writing papers and studying, the only life I’ve ever known! But I am even more excited to step into this business, officially full time, and can’t wait to see where the Lord leads me down the road.
James Madison University will forever have my heart. The experiences and things it has taught me will stick with me forever. I have grown into a young woman, found myself and my voice, and am forever grateful for the soulmate best friends it has brought me. The Grat House on East Grattan Street will forever feel like home. UREC will forever be the place that gave me self confidence. The Quad will forever be a place of relaxation and fun. I pray the feelings and memories of sunset drives through the farm land in the mountains with the windows rolled down and music blasting with my roommates will never leave my memory. The days were long, but it all flew by so quickly. A blink of the eye.
It was wild sitting in the stadium that I often went to JMU football games at, sitting there in a cap and gown surrounded by hundreds of other students graduating, knowing that it would be the last time I was officially a student. Walking across the stage, in the pouring rain (rip), really just seems like a blur. So much work and time and money spent to simply walk across the stage, shake the president’s hand, and call it a day. Wild. The next day, my roommates and I got to spend some quality time with all of our families together at our house to celebrate and have some fun. Yummy food, corn hole, and a solid good time. I loved this day. So incredibly blessed to be surrounded with such amazing, genuine people. I’ll never forget it.
Thank you, James Madison University, for all you have given me. Roll Dukes and start wearing purple. <3

Did I mention it poured down rain in the middle of our outdoor ceremony… yeah, super fun.
Our neighbor runs a bakery out of her home and make us the most delicious, and beautiful, cake and cupcakes!
