Fall at Maymont | Classic Richmond Senior Session | Avery
Oh, Miss Avery, what a dream it is to have you in front of the camera! Her classic Richmond senior session has been one of my favorites this fall! If you haven’t seen fall at Maymont, you’re missing out! It is just as stunning in the fall as it is in the spring. Even though you wouldn’t think there would be too many flowers, the Italian Garden is actually packed full of the most beautiful blooms! If you couldn’t tell already, I love bringing my seniors to Maymont. Most of the time, they actually request to come here!
Our plans for Avery’s shoot actually got pretty tossed up. Out of no where, we had the coldest, most gloomy day (and week! check out Haley’s senior session too. It was just a day before Avery’s!) at the beginning of October, but she wanted to stick it out since there wasn’t a chance of rain. Our original plan was to hit the James River first, then head to Maymont to finish out the session. When I arrived at the river, it was like something out of a scary movie! Super, super foggy and misty, and literally was 30 degrees WITH wind… yeah, we definitely had to change our plan last minute! So we decided just to meet at Maymont and adventure around.
Enough about the crazy weather, let’s talk about her outfits! Every single one was a HIT! I think her first outfit with the colorful sweater was my favorite. I told her I was gonna have to go buy her entire outfit because it was so cute, and also photographed beautifully! She had all the best fits for a “fall at Maymont” lookbook. I love how she took my advice my the Senior Session Guide, but also made it her own by wearing her fav Converse. The outfit with the oversized tee, actually was her grandma’s t-shirt! She said the holes and tears in it are just OG wear and tear. So cute I can’t.
Avery is on my Senior Rep Team for the class of 2023 and it has been so fun to have her at all the shoots so far. She’s my only RVA rep and has brought all the sass, all the jokes, and is just amazing to have her on the team.
