The sweetest sunrise engagement session for Rachael and Brandon in Washington D.C. We were up bright and early for these two and it was worth every single yawn. I met Rachael and Brandon at JMU 2 or 3 years ago when I captured Rachael’s grad portraits! Not too long after, the two were engaged and I was SO happy to see their names pop back into my inquiries!

Rachael and Brandon get married in just 2 weeks! So a quick turn around on their sunrise engagement session was in store. We started their sunrise engagement session on the National Mall at the Reflecting Pool which sadly, was drained for some reason. Then, with many other couples having photos taken, made our way up to the columns of Lincoln for the epic views and sunrise glow.

For their second outfit, we Ubered over to the Tidal Basin to catch the last few blooms of the cherry blossoms. We missed the iconic cherry blossoms by just a day or two, but found these incredible fluffy pink trees instead. In all honesty, these pink blooms actually photograph way better than the classic white cherry blossoms. So it was still a win!

I can’t wait to see these two SO soon for their wedding day in Mt. Crawford at Cross Keys Vineyard!
