Some days in life are truly just better than others and hold memories and feelings that you’ll cherish forever. Today was one of those days. I didn’t realize just how special the bridal shower would be, but it was one of the best days of my life. Surrounded by so many amazing, inspiring women that I love so much and I’m so blessed that they love me. My bridal shower will live forever in my heart.

My mom and Julia, my maid of honor, put together the most special day for me and I just can’t believe how lucky I am. They hosted a sweet Sunday brunch with almost all of my favorite people. My family from Tennessee couldn’t make it up, but these women I consider to be my Virginia family and they hold a special place in my heart. We had the most beautiful charcuterie boards from FXBG Graze that were too pretty I didn’t want to eat. But then because they did look so delicious I had to dig in and get all the things! The beautiful, and most delicious cupcakes EVER were made by Mrs. April, my cupcake queen. She has done SO much for me during this wedding season, and even just in life, I’ll never be able to repay her. <3

We played some fun games and it was so funny to see everyone get so competitive over a silly ring game and not being able to say the word “bride” or “wedding” or competing on who knows the bride best. I also had to breakout my wedding scrapbook that I made back in middle school. It’s a lime green and hot pink scrapbook full of absolutely hilarious dresses and ideas of what I thought I wanted my wedding to look like. Honestly, super fitting for middle school me, but now, absolutely not!!

If you’re a recent bride reading this and getting ready for your own bridal shower, take it all in. It will be one of the most special days ever. Wedding planning is a LOT, but take this day to just relax and actually enjoy being engaged and talking with all your loved ones.
