In a chapel filled with close friends and family from all across the US, Taylor walked down the aisle with her grandpa as Matthew gazed at her with happy tears running down his face. The whole room was filled with love and not a single person couldn’t help but smile. The love between these two was so evident and I am so honored to have captured such a special moment.
The day started off casual as Taylor had her hair and makeup done while eating some snacks and sipping on champagne with her girls. My favorite gal, Rachel from Bangs and Bougie, was there and worked her magic on everyone’s hair. Jeet worked on final touches of makeup while I started on detail shots. Everything off to a great start! The Inn at the Old Silk Mill is a gorgeous venue in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. So many beautiful spots for photos. Taylor’s bridal portraits are absolutely to die for and her veil…. oh my. You’ll just have to see for yourself how gorgeous they are. The bouquet, the details, the dress, she couldn’t have done a better job! It all made for the perfect look. Meanwhile, Matthew and the boys were getting ready and chilling out. They took it easy for a while watching sports and drinking some beers. They have it so easy. The mood changed to nervous excitement though as we got everyone hidden away for the ceremony.
The ceremony was absolutely stunning. The isle was lined with flower petals and two beautiful floral arrangements at the head of the aisle. The room was filled with natural light and the heat of the summer. As the violinist were playing, Taylor walked down the aisle with her grandpa. Matthew’s reaction was priceless. The soft smile, fighting back the tears, it was too sweet. Matthew and Taylor had written letters to each other and sealed them in a box with a bottle of wine. This special box would remind them of the love they share for each other. The vows were said, rings exchanged, and it was time for the first kiss. A good one at that! The room filled with cheers and clapping and off they went!
Cocktail hour had so much energy. Everyone chatted and laughed as a live band played in the background. The reception started, and the grand entrances were so fun! Taylor and Matthew shared a beautiful first dance together which had me in tears (it always gets me, every time). Dinner was served and the speeches from Best Man and Maid of Honor were great and provided everyone with some hilarious stories of the couple. The night really got started as the DJ started with the music and everyone joined the dance floor. From the classics to line dances to just some great party music, the dance floor was filled the whole night. Of course I had to put my camera down and join in for some dancing too! The night was topped off with a sparkler exit and not just one kiss and dip, but three!! as they made their way through the lit up tunnel.
Matthew and Taylor, your day was absolutely gorgeous, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations!!! Love y’all!
