I just knew this session was going to be magic!! Samantha’s spring senior session at Maymont and Belle Isle was one of those sessions where everything felt straight out of a dream — even with a cloudy sky, she brought all the sunshine we needed.

We started at Maymont in the Italian Garden where there was this HUGE yellow, fluffy tree in bloom. I’ve only ever seen it look like this ONE other time, so I knew we were here at the perfect timing. One thing about Sam, she IS the color yellow. She’s a real life little ray of sunshine! We wandered around the Italian Garden, stopped by the fountain (of course!), and soaked up all the soft springtime vibes before heading to our second location.

Next stop – Belle Isle, and ugh… these might be some of my favorite photos ever with Winnie! Sam brought along a special guest, her sweet goldie Winnie who you might recognize from her sister Corinne’s session a few years ago! Corinne was one of my past senior reps, and it was SO special having her little sister join the team this year. I just love a sister duo moment!!

Winnie absolutely stole the show, of course, but then we wrapped up the session by heading down to the water. Sam changed into this stunning bright blue dress that really just popped against the rocks and water and greenery — I’m still obsessed. It was such a perfect way to end the shoot, and truly captured her sift, yet fun-loving spirit!

Sam, you are pure joy and getting to know you (and reunite with your fam!) this year was the biggest honor!! I just love your spring senior session at Maymont and Belle Isle! 🫶🏼
