Sometimes, last-minute changes lead to the best surprises! Aiden’s glow-filled senior session at Belle Isle actually started with a little bit of a plot twist—our original location, Maymont, was hosting a concert (a part of their summer concert series which is apparently new!), and we had to pivot fast. As she was putting the finishing touches on her hair and makeup with our hair and makeup queen, Kelsea, I gave her a quick call. She agree and loved my next suggestion, Belle Isle, we switched gears and headed more downtown. And let me tell you, it could not have worked out better! We arrived just in time to catch that dreamy golden glow, and y’all, did we have some good glow! The sun hit just right, and I couldn’t be more obsessed!

One of my favorite things about shooting at Belle Isle is the tall, fluffy field of grass. When you see it in person you might think, “ummm that doesn’t look like much”, but in the camera, we can make anything work. 😉 It turns into the most gorgeous, dreamy backdrop! Aiden totally owned this spot, and her first outfit looked amazing against the soft, sunlit field. Please notice the butterflies on her jeans. SOOO cute!! For her second look, we made our way over to the water, and I am OBSESSED with how these turned out! Her white dress was the perfect contrast to the business of the background – textured rocks, the water, and trees—it was effortlessly stunning. This session was proof that sometimes the best plans are the ones you never saw coming!
