Okay, first things first —Mira is an absolute GEM of a human!!! Like, truly one of the kindest, sweetest, most bubbly souls I have ever met and ballet senior photos at the Richmond capitol and Belle Isle just screams HER!! From the moment she reached out I knew we were going to be besties. We bonded over all things dance because—if you couldn’t tell from the title—this girl is a famous, insanely talented dancer (okay, maybe not famous, but she’s famous to me!!) During her session, we talked about all her dance competitions coming up and the dance comp life, all the exciting things she has coming up for senior year, and (!!!) the possibility of going to JMU for dance! And if you’ve been around here long enough, you know I am a JMU ride or die till the day I die, so you know I was hyping her up about that decision!!!

We kicked off her session at the Richmond capitol building downtown, which has quickly become one of my favorite spots to shoot. The dreamy white architecture, the grand stairs—everything about it just feels so elegant and classy. And Mira? Girlfriend understood the assignment. 👏🏽 She wore the most gorgeous white flowy dress that A) matched the vibe perfectly and B) kept all the attention on her, which is exactly what we want!! Let’s talk about the dance photos for a second because… I HAVE NO WORDS. Like, truly, these are my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE. She killed it with every pose, every movement, every twirl—just absolutely stunning. My dancer heart was in Heaven. But the second best part of her session?? HER CAT. I’ve had lots of dogs and horses, but y’all, I have never had someone bring their cat to a shoot before! I was absolutely dying over how adorable and fun it was!!! Seriously, we need to make “cats at senior sessions” a thing because I am here for it!!

For our second location, we took things down the street to Belle Isle to get some nature vibes, and let me tell you—we hit the golden hour jackpot. The way the sunset glowed around her was pure magic, and made her look even more angelic than she already does. I am OBSESSED with how it all came together!! This session was just so Mira—fun, elegant, creative, and full of joy. I absolutely adore every single photo from her ballet senior photos at the Richmond capitol and Belle Isle, and I think you will too!!!

Mira, I just adore you!!! I can’t wait to see where you decide on going next fall, but wherever it is, you are going to crush it!!! LOVE YA! 💕
