Ohhh my goodness, where do I even begin with Elly’s senior session?! This girl is the cross country and track superstar at Glen Allen High School, and it was such an honor to capture this special season of her life! We kicked things off at Maymont, and let me tell you—between the vibrant flowers, the golden sunlight, and Elly’s incredibly bubbly personality, it was pure MAGIC. She really wanted some dreamy tall grass photos to go with her flowy pink dress, but—plot twist—the field had been cut down. Did we panic? Nope! We got creative, made it work, and it turned out so good that Altr’d State actually re-shared her photo! Like… what?! Talk about a full-circle moment! She had three different outfits at Maymont, and I loved how each one showed off a different side of her. While the pink dress was definitely a fave, I also loved her denim skirt look—it was effortless, fun, and just so her!

Beyond the gorgeous photos, this session was extra special because I got to know Elly and her sweet mom, and let me tell you—they are the BEST. We found out we actually go to the same church (small world!!), and a few weeks later, I got to watch her get baptized! HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! We also talked all about colleges, and y’all—Elly is such a superstar. She’s been accepted to the University of Alabama, Furman University, and a few others for running—like, excuse me?! She’s out here making moves, and I couldn’t be prouder!

And now, for my absolute favorite part of the session… we wrapped things up back home at Glen Allen High School, right on the track, surrounded by ALL of her medals and even her entire collection of running shoes! These photos were everything. So personal, so unique, and just so HER. This is exactly what senior photos should be—showcasing who you are, what you love, and celebrating all the hard work you’ve put in over the past four years. Elly, I LOVE YA, girl!! I am beyond proud of you, and I cannot wait to see you absolutely crush it in college! 🏃‍♀️✨
