It’s my favorite time of year!! It’s Meet & Greet party day for the Class of 2025!!! I’m recapping the whole day here for you with a few helpful tips for hosting your own Senior Rep Team Meet & Greet Party.
This year I hosted the Meet & Greet party at my house, and it just made it all the more special! The 2025 team is my biggest one yet, with 16 amazing and sweet girlies from around Richmond, Fredericksburg and even Staunton, VA! I already have plans for our first shoot together in just a few weeks, a 4th of July theme, and I can not WAIT! This team is already so much fun and I just know it’s going to get better and better.
I feel so blessed to have so many girls on my team and who want to work with ME. I will never take that for granted and I feel so honored to be able to capture such an incredible and life changing year for them. SRT ’25, I LOVE YOU SM ALREADY!! xoxo
~~~ For Senior Photographers:
If you’re thinking, “what the heck is a meet and greet party?!” Let me explain… The Meet & Greet party is the kickoff event for the newest Senior Rep Team (and if you don’t know what the Senior Rep team is, just click here!) It’s the first time the entire team gets to meet and hangout all together. Before diving into a photoshoot, it is VITAL to host some sort of bonding experience for the team to get to know one another, but also allow a space for you, the photographer, to give a run down of what the year is going to look like and set the scene for all kinds of fun!
This year, my theme was “summery citrus” with pinks, greens, and yellows with a classic summer cookout for super fun, chill, low pressure vibes. I hosted it at my home for the first time and it was SO MUCH FUN and I think just added to the “family/sisterhood” feeling! We obviously had hamburgers and hot dogs (grilled by my angel of a mom!), but I also had out corn-hole and Spikeball and even made my own little “flower market” for the girls to make their own bouquet as they were headed out.
As I mentioned earlier, it’s important to section out some time to go over what the year ahead is going to look like for the team. For this, I make a super easy presentation on Canva and I also print a Welcome Packet for the girls to read through and take home for their parents. During this time (and included in their Welcome Packet) I talk through what a Senior Rep is, their perks of being on the team, their responsibilities, referral reward system, what the shoots look like, outfits, hair and makeup, and touch on their personal senior session. I also like to invite alumni KMP reps and open the floor to them to share any tips or advice for the team.
If you want to learn more about the Meet & Greet party, I answered a few Instagram questions in this week’s YouTube video as I was prepping for the party!! See it HERE!! 🎉
