Get ready for the longest blog post of the year! I’m recapping all my favorite images, the “Best of Senior Portraits 2023” from your fav Richmond senior photographer 😉 I’ve gone back through every senior gallery from this year, January – December, and pulled my most favorite images from each one. I’ve been all over Virginia, and even a trip home to Nashville, for senior sessions this year and it has been a blast! I absolutely love this job of mine and couldn’t be more thankful for the incredible seniors and their families that trust me to capture such a major milestone in their life.
If you know anything about KMP, you know that I don’t do boring senior portraits around here. I love to provide the opportunity for my seniors to choose locations they love, wear outfits that they feel comfy in, and overall have a great time at their session. To me, senior pictures are more than just taking a cheesy photo for your mom to hang on her wall. While, yes, we do still capture those classic portraits, I also be sure that my seniors are feeling absolutely comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I want them to have fun, enjoy the process, and celebrate their senior year!
Being a Richmond senior photographer means that I get to photograph seniors from schools alllll over! This year, I’ve photographed seniors from Deep Run High School, Goochland High School, Patrick Henry High School, Glen Allen High School, Godwin High School, Clover Hill High School, New Kent High School, Riverheads High School, Colonial Forge High School, Spotslyvania High School, Mountain View High School, North Stafford High School, Stafford High School, Orange County High School, Fredericksburg Academy, Southhampton High School, and Nashville School of the Arts. WHEW!! So many amazing schools and seniors who I love dearly!
From city vibes downtown to rustic barns and farmland, to private properties with scenic views to school gyms and football fields. From Maymont to Historic Tuckahoe and cheerleaders and wrestlers. Dancers and soccer players and golfers and field hockey and tennis and volleyball stars. There was SO much variety, but one common string tied them all together. Happy senior year friends!
It was such an honor to work with you this year! I can’t to see where this life is going to take you! I love this job of mine and I love being your Richmond senior photographer!
xoxo, Kelsey
