Welcome to our wedding day at The Granary at Valley Pike!! 10. 29. 2022 | There are sooo many photos that I want to share with you that I simply just couldn’t narrow it all down into one blog. So, we’re going through the day chapter by chapter. As much as I wish you all could have been there in person, going through the say like a story book will make it feel like you were right there with me! So, as my pastor said at the start of our ceremony, “let’s get it goin’!”
First and foremost, I have to give a massive shoutout to my friend, and photographer, Angelika Johns. She captured our day so perfectly and I am forever grateful for her, her attention to detail, and friendship! All these incredible photos were taken and edited by her! And of course, I’ll be crediting her in every post. Angelika, I love you!!
Starting with details, I wanted to link and share with you where everything is from! I have to note the little gold bumble bees included in the flat lays. They have a meaning, and I want you to guess what they stand for 😉
Invites – I designed these on The Knot! I originally tried to design these by scratch, but just wasn’t coming together like I was envisioning. I wanted an elevated, classy, and custom made look, but didn’t have enough time in our planning process to have that done. So, to a template I went! I love how easy these were to customize and love how beautiful they turned out!
Wax Seal – Custom made these from a shop on Etsy! These were amazing because they actually have a sticker on the back instead of actually melting them to the ribbon. The blue ribbon I also bought from an Etsy shop, and let me tell you, order wayyyy more than you think you need! I think I had to put in three different orders because I kept running out.
Vow Books – Ordered these letterpress books from Michelle Renee Co. on Etsy from the sweetest shop that presses these on a vintage press machine from 1887! So cool and feels so extra special.
Opal Ring – My mom’s ring gifted to her from my dad :’)
Earrings – My gorgeous earrings were custom made from SJ Bailey Co.! I absolutely love her gorgeous jewelry and knew I wanted to wear earrings designed by her on the big day. I was able to work with her one on one to design my earrings and gift my bridesmaids with custom earrings to wear on the day as well.
Shoes – My shoes are from Bella Belle! I knew I wanted to splurge on a gorgeous pair of heels and specifically from this brand. Working in the wedding industry, Bella Belle is kind of the “it shoe” and as soon as I saw these heels and how they perfectly matched my dress, I ordered immediately! I also wanted a fun little thing to incorporate into all of the wedding events, so I also wore these to my bridal shower, engagement photos, and rehearsal dinner! A great way to break them in too 😉
Dress – My dress is a Paloma Blanca Bridal from Blue Sage Bridal here in Richmond. Because were on a 4 month time crunch, I didn’t have the option to try on dresses and order from a typical shop, but, my friends at Blue Sage made me feel so special in their boutique! I tried on 8 different dress, and last minute grabbed my dress to try on and as soon as I saw it on in the mirror, I knew it was the one! Thanking the Lord I found the most perfect dress so quickly! Also just so happened to find a perfectly matching veil here too!
Fringe Party Dress – I knew I wanted to dance the night away, and as much as I love my wedding dress, I knew it wasn’t the best for dancing in. I love the trend of putting on a fun dress for dancing, so I started searching for something sparkling, fringey, and bonus, feathery! Y’all I found this one on Amazon, and I loved her! So fun. I also got my feathery slippers from Amazon too that I wore the entire reception!
Not only do I love serving my seniors, but I also love serving my fellow photographers! From free downloads, to coaching, to weekly educational videos, and even an ever growing template shop for anything you need.
