Okay y’all, Malaika’s cultural senior session at Maymont is being added to my list of favorite sessions EVER! Being able to capture this special moments for her is simply just what sets my heart on fire! Malaika really wanted a unique and special senior session, and it’s so easy to see that she put her all into her outfit choices and locations and wasn’t afraid to be herself during our time together.

Malaika wanted to do a cultural senior session to showcase where she’s from and whats so important to her and her family. She looked SO beautiful and the Italian Garden at Maymont was the perfect backdrop to accent her gorgeous traditional dress. The last half of her session we spent time at the Belmont Golf Course. Golf has been a big part of her life the past few years so she wanted to capture that in her photos. Not only did she find the support from her school to be the “team” that represented them (she’s the only one on the team and really freaking crushes it!), but now she even gets to teach younger kids how to play!! So amazing!

I am so proud of this gorgeous girl and so happy that she is a 2024 Senior Rep. It is an honor to know you!!! I can not WAIT to see all the incredible things you do post high school. This is just the beginning for you girl!
