Ah! What an AMAZING WEEK! Just got home from our mastermind retreat in Charleston, South Carolina and my heart is FULL! I have been apart of the Hope Taylor mastermind for the past 6 months, and it has truly been life changing. I know that sounds dramatic, but I honestly would not be where I am in my business without all of these amazing people. Diving deep into business and being surrounded by likeminded, creative business owners for 6 months quickly changes the game. Our grand finale in CHS could not have gone any better! And I vlogged the whole thing!! Watch it HERE!
The past 6 months of being in the mastermind have been full of support, strategies, and straight up, honest advice and critiques… I LOVED IT! Hope has been an incredible mentor and friend and in case you didn’t know, an absolute business GENIUS! I’m so lucky to have had the opportunity to be in her mastermind and get a glimpse inside of that brain of hers!
Our retreat started at the Boho Rosa House in downtown Charleston with Benny’s Pizza, wine, and lots and lots of charcuterie! It was so nice to just be able to sit and chat with everyone and finally meet them all in person! Such a weird feeling to know someone for 6 whole months and know so much about their biz without ever meeting them in person. We all spent the night just catching up and having a good ole time.
Wednesday morning, our first full day, we chowed down on some Chick-fil-a breakfast while we got ready for headshots on Rainbow Row. We of course had to take some group shots together and then Hope got into photographer mode while we all got to be in FRONT of the camera and not just behind it. It was so fun walking around and taking photos of each other, but we quickly got back to the house for Chipotle lunch and business time.
We spent the whole afternoon learning from Hope about the backend side of her business and how her team runs. We talked email funnels and Trello boards and Facebook ads, it was a LOT to take in but I loved every single second of it. We also took some time for implementation and some one on one time with Hope. I shared with her an idea for a big project I’m wanting to create this year and she loved it! Plus, she gave me just the right twist to put on it to make it extra extra unique and niched down. I’m not sharing any details or hints yet, BUT, senior photographers… something is coming your way!!
We had to celebrate such a good day with an incredible dinner at Le Farfalle. It was hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to and the service, impeccable. Such a fun way to all sit down and celebrate the best 6 months. Thursday morning, we packed up and headed to brunch at Miller’s All Day and say our goodbyes! It was bittersweet, but the perfect way to end such an incredible 6 months.
I am so thankful for each and every one of these incredible business owners. They have supported me and encouraged me to take big steps and do scary things, and I’m forever grateful for them. Being a part of the Hope Taylor mastermind was the BEST business decision I made all year <3
I vlogged our whole trip in Charleston and it’s live on YouTube today!! See it HERE!!!
THANK YOU to all the different people who took these photos!!
