It was a cloudy and rainy day that ended with the most beautiful sunset just for Taylor and Joe’s wedding at Walker’s Overlook. The King’s are a #covidcouple and had to postpone their dream wedding day two different times to be able to have their special friends and family attend. These two are so kind and honestly deserve the world. I am so happy they finally had their dream wedding day at a beautiful venue filled with so many people they love and cherish.
The day started out with the bride, Taylor, and her sister and bff getting ready in the bridal suite. Joe was in the man cave surrounded by arcade games and some good times. The details of the wedding included soft touches of summery flowers and light blue accents. Taylor’s bouquet was absolutely jaw dropping. April included peonies, roses, anemone, and so many other beautiful pops of color. All colorful and fun, but soft and sweet, which I think perfectly describes Taylor. One of my favorite parts of the day was the first look they shared together. They have been waiting so long for this moment and trust me, I was in tears too! Taylor has had her dressed hidden away for two years, so to finally put it on and share that special moment with the love of her life was just something magical.
The ceremony space overlooked beautiful rolling farm hills, while the alter was placed right under a giant oak tree. The ceremony was super sweet, mostly to get everyone out of the sprinkles of rain that had begun, but nonetheless was humorous and beautiful. Before it really started to rain, I grabbed the newly weds and Taylor’s custom “Wife of the Party” jacket and headed to the vintage car the venue owns. These are some of my favorite images with the pop of color from her bouquet, those just married smiles, and the little spice the car added in.
The reception got started and boy what a time it was! One of Taylor and Joe’s friends had to step in to DJ as theirs decided not to show (just the icing on the cake), but to be honest, their friend Matt did such an amazinggg job! I told him he should start thinking about being a DJ as a side job and he just laughed. One very special part at their reception was a toast from Taylor’s sister. She lives in Australia and couldn’t make it to the wedding because of restrictions, so she was FaceTimed in to be a part of the entire day. Her toast was so so sweet and had just about everyone in tears. You can truly tell how close these sisters are and just how proud she was of Taylor. After dinner, everyone got out on the dance floor for some dancing and danced the night away to the music blasting through their last minute speaker rental and tunes from Apple Music. It. was. perfect!!
As I mentioned previously, the day was pretty cloudy and we assumed there would be no sunset with the rain. But wow, God really said surprise! and here popped out one of the most gorgeous sunsets I’ve ever seen. After everything Taylor and Joe have had to go through, this was the moment they deserved! So, I stole them from their reception because I could not miss this opportunity to create some magic, and wow, I’m really just speechless at these photos. Taylor and Joe mean so much to me, more than they probably know, and I am just so happy for them. Congratulations to the Kings!! I wish you guys the best in life and can’t wait to watch your family grow. Love y’all!
