She walked onto the dock, smiling ear to ear and feeling a little nervous all together. He turned around and instantly had the biggest smile I have ever seen and hugged her in tight. Yayo and Joanna’s wedding day in Stafford, Virginia was all together magical and oh so sweet.
Joanna began the day by getting ready at her mother’s beautiful home nearby the private property where they were soon to say ‘I Do’. Her two dachshunds, Tiny Tim and Cooper, were running all over the house just as excited as she was. Her two sisters, the bridesmaids, were getting ready as well and the atmosphere was so calm yet joyful. While she was getting ready, Yayo and family were putting the final touches on the ceremony space at a beautiful, wide open field with a still pond as the backdrop. Because of COVID-19, plans unfortunately had to change, but with help from their church family, they were still able to have a ceremony filled with friends family.
Joanna and Yayo decided to share a first look with each other before the ceremony (a WONDERFUL idea might I add) and it was just so magical. Joanna’s neighborhood has access to a lake with an adorable dock that overlooks the water. As Yayo stood on the dock, Joanna slowly walked up, grinning ear to ear. Yayo turned around with such joy and excitement as he saw his stunning bride for the very first time! They shared a tight hug together and Joanna gifted him with a new pair of handmade suspenders. The moment was so sweet.
Their ceremony was filled with so much joy and love as friends and family from Virginia to Tennessee gathered to watch them tie the knot and start a new life as husband and wife. They incorporated Yayo’s hispanic traditions into their decorations and events during the ceremony, including a beautiful wedding lasso in the shape of the infinity symbol placed over them by their mothers to symbolize an everlasting life together. Everyone cheered as they walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Espinosa. Afterwards, their guests gathered together at church for a small lunch to celebrate the newlyweds, and let me tell you, it was quite the celebration!
Yayo and Joanna, thank you for including me into your big day. Your love for one another is so beautiful and I can not wait to see where the Lord leads you next in life. Congratulations!!
