If there’s one thing I know about Lauren and Ryan, it’s that they are so full of love and excitement and it’s so contagious!
It was so much fun to capture their engagement pictures in Georgetown not too long ago. The week before had been absolutely freezing and rainy. We actually had to move their date to the next day because their scheduled date was 30 something degrees and pouring down rain. Good thing we moved it though, because we were blessed with warmer temps and a beautiful blue and sunny sky. Georgetown is one of my favorite places in DC, so I was so excited when they wanted to do it here too. We strolled through the waterfront, up through the canal and side streets, had a lil coffee break while they changed, and then up through the beautiful historic homes. Even found some new beautiful spots too!
Lauren and Ryan met through the app Bumble a few years ago. Their proposal story is one of my favorites! They had taken a little trip to where they had their first date. They had a special spot on a bench nearby where they kissed, and that’s where Ryan decided to propose, or at least he thought. The day he planned to propose was a little rainy and it had been a long day. Lauren didn’t really want to take the walk down to the bench and Ryan didn’t want to push her, so he waited to ask the question. Some time later after they had returned home, Lauren walked outside and when she came back in Ryan was there and ready to pop the question in their living room. Some things don’t always go to plan and that’s totally okay!
I absolutely loved their engagement session and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day next fall! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
