Hannah is a fellow Duke (now alumni) and reached out to me after hearing about me through a mutual friend. I am sooo glad she did! I was already excited about shooting their wedding, but after doing their engagement pictures, I seriously am counting down the days until their big day this fall!
Jake and Hannah met in Colorado, so Hannah wanted to do their photos in the mountains here in her home of Virginia. Since Jake was coming in to town for graduation, we found a great location not too far from JMU. Oh, and did I mention we did their photos on her grad day? Engagement pictures in the morning, graduation at night. She’s a superwoman. These two were SO much fun to work with, and I am so glad that they didn’t hate me for making them hike a mile to this gorgeous view. because it was totally worth it.
Love story:
Jake and Hannah met in Colorado last summer at a job they were both working at. On their first date together they hiked a fourteener and really got to know each other as a little unfortunate, but kind of funny, incident happened during the hike. Throughout the summer and the next couple of months, they really fell in love with each other. Over Hannah’s spring break, she went to visit him in Colorado and that’s when he popped the question. She had really wanted to go to the Royal Gorge Bridge, so early one morning he took her. It was super foggy and no one else was really around, and in the middle of the bridge is where he proposed to her.
