Little Baby Gerdes is on the way and I am SO excited for Hannah and AJ!

Last year I was lucky enough to capture Christmas pictures for Hannah, AJ, and their pup, Lilo. This year, they added one more into the mix, but we just haven’t met them yet. They have decided to leave the gender as a surprise, but oh so soon they will get to find out if the little babe is a girl or boy! Also, let’s just talk about how gorgeous these two are. Hannah, you looked absolutely stunning! January can’t come soon enough for these two!

We shot at a new location I had never been to before, and holy cow was it beautiful! If you are in DC or live nearby, you must make a trip to the National Arboretum just north of the capitol. It’s a huge park that honestly is kind of randomly placed, but makes for a perfect spot to get outdoors, go for a run, and just enjoy some fresh air. The most striking part of the park is the great columns. They were the highlight of the park in my opinion and I broke out into very high pitched squeals when I saw them. The back story to them is also pretty cool, they came from the original capitol building and when it went under construction many years ago, they placed the extra stone columns in the park. So cool! I highly recommend taking a stroll around this lovely place, there’s surprises and beauty at every corner.
